November 30th, 6:30 PM @ Strathroy Town Hall Tree

Each year, on the last Friday evening each November, the Strathroy – Caradoc Lions Club invites the community to participate in a community social activity which we call “The Tree of Light”.  It is an opportunity the bring your entire family, neighbours together for Christmas music, hot chocolate, and comraderie. You may meet a local Municipal politician?

Please bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank to place in the box under our tree.

6:20 – Optimist Youth Band

6:40 – Mary wright Children’s Choir

7:00 – Tree Lighting Ceremony (and Santa)

Ongoing Christmas Music by “Sound Sensations” – Darryl Thompson

Just as the lights on the tree bring light into the downtown core, we ask people to think of folks who are important to them and who bring light into their lives. You may a $5 donation to “sponsor” a bulb that shines in their memory, with a memory card to be placed on our Memory Tree in the Museum entry.

Strathroy – Caradoc Lions thank the Municipality for their enthusiastic cooperation and support to this project.  We also thank the B.I.A., the Chamber of Commerce, the local scouts who are here helping with safety on the street barricades, Darryl Thompson, Mr. “Sound Sensations”, and his terrific sound system, the Optimist Youth band, and of course Mary Wright School choir under the leadership of Christie Bergman.
