Dog Walk – September 24, 2016
On Saturday, September 24th we held the dog walk. In addition to several other community members, we had 63 participants from our local schools. Schools participating included: Adelaide W.G. MacDonald, Caradoc North Public School, Mary Wright Public School, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School, and Strathroy Community Christian School.
The walk raised $6,510 for Lions Foundation Canada Dog Guide School in Oakville. Hurray!!!!!

Turkeyfest – June 18th & 19th
On Saturday & Sunday, the club hosted an information tent at Turkeyfest in Strathroy. We had assistance dogs that were graduates of the Lions Foundation Canada Dog Guide training school in Oakville, Ontario. There was a hearing assistance dog, a vision assistance dog, a seizure response dog, and two breeding Labrador moms who have since retired after producing up to 5 litters each over their productive span.

We also sold 50/50 tickets, the proceeds of which went to L.F.C. Dog Guides in Oakville. $500 was raised each way. The draw winner was Allison Pompili of Strathroy.
