Each year the Strathroy – Caradoc Lions Club invites the community to participate in a fund-raising project we call the Tree of Light.  Just as the lights on the tree bring light into the downtown core, we ask people to think of folks who are important to them and who bring light into their lives.

We ask people to “buy a bulb” for $5 and that money will also bring light into someone else’s life.  This year the proceeds of the Tree of Light campaign is going toward the sponsorship of a vision assist dog trained at the Lions Foundation Canada Dog Guide Training School in Oakville.  we don’t know who will get the dog you are sponsoring, but it will definitely bring joy, bring hope, bring light into their life.

Strathroy – Caradoc Lions thank the Municipality for their enthusiastic cooperation and support to this project.  We also thank the B.I.A., the Chamber of Commerce, the local scouts who are here helping with safety on the street barricades, the Strathroy – Caradoc Cruisers who loaned us this terrific sound system, the Optimist Youth band, and of course Mary Wright School choir under the leadership of Christie Bergman.

Count slowly to 30 and the photos will load and play!
